More data, more solutions

Electronic health record (EHR) data collected over decades, spanning millions of patients, could provide clues to help solve medical problems. This is extremely valuable for pediatric populations, where data is scarce, particularly for very rare or complex diseases.

In addition to Nemours Children’s participation in and access to PEDSnet — a national data set with more than eight million de-identified records, Epic, our EHR platform, has launched Cosmos, providing access to billions of clinical data points from Epic EHRs all over the U.S. in a way that forms a high quality, representative and integrated data set that can be used to change the health and lives of people everywhere.

In addition to Nemours Children’s participation in PCORI PEDSnet, providing access to more than 8 million de-identified patient records, Epic has launched Cosmos making available billions more clinical data for research and analysis.
